I found Jennifer Mancini the most boring character but Lisa Rinna managed to be out of place even in a series like Melrose Place. It's...too much.
Carmen Electra had a similar effect on Hyperion Bay. They may as well had done a UFO storyline. Come to think of it, a UFO is never a bad storyline.

YOU NEVER WATCHED MELROSE PLACE.

What I loved about MP was that they brought in characters I couldn't stand at first, but when they left I was sad like Bobby, Alycia or Shelly. In season 6 it was Nick. I enjoyed all that stuff around him and Fake Christine, him accidentally killing her, then he and Taylor put her on railroad tracks, making it appear that she did commit suicide.

Worst stotyline ever on "Melrose Place". On the paper it sounds quite good but on screen it was awfully boring. That and Amanda chased by James Farentino's character.

I think it was @JROG who mentioned it - on paper it sounds very soapy and delicious but how it plays out on screen... yeesh! Skip to episode 200 stat!

Oh I also hate her too. I hate, hate, hate her! She's just pointless and unlikeable. And the character is really thrust on you. You are being forced to accept this person.
Jennifer was such an aggressive Sydney replacement that it's not even funny - annoying younger sister? Check. Stripper? Check. Takes over everything Sydney would've done? Check.

There are also some scenes between Samantha / Amanda that obviously would've worked better if it was Alison / Amanda. Not that they'd be any good, but it would at least make them tolerable

An actress popped up in a bit part as Samantha's mother. Samantha calls her at work to tell her that her dad had died. Her mother is working at a bar as a waitress. I couldn't place her at first but thought she was too good for such a small part. It was Joanna Cassidy! I can't remember if she was in the previous season, but it seems weird she has such an unimportant part.

I'll go back to Melrose Place tomorrow. I'm about to start MINDHUNTER, Melrose Place made me really want to see something actually good.

Oh remember that pointless HELL picture Samantha painted in the premiere? It means nothing.

The mother of a soap character is never unimportant. Mimi Kennedy did a one-off in Knots Landing and it was (sort of) unforgettable.

So...they should have asked an untalented actor?
Well they did with Samantha. Actually most of the cast. There's some shit acting on the show. Those that aren't shit are really slumming it. Seems like Heather Locklear is featured less this season? And she would usually make it more watchable. Samantha, Jennifer, the new doctor, Taylor are all really bad, I can't stand any of them. And not in an I love to hate them kind of way, no, it's beyond that. They are just shit. I would rather know more about Samantha's mother, what happened in her life. I feel like she'd sell it better, even if she was given shit dialogue.

My point was that the part of Samantha's mother is not a great part, and the actress seems a bit wasted.

I never realised how vertically challenged Alyssa Milano was. She's so short she looks like a child in scenes with anyone of normal height. When she's in a scene with Ken Howard it's like I'm watching The BFG.

Samantha's mother's part Kate, has been expanded ever so slightly. She's not just a waitress in a bar, she owns her own seafood place on the beach. Kate's Crabs. Sounds appealing! Samantha has run away from Billy after he found out that she told Craig about Amanda's plans to have her own Add agency. Now, Billy has had to leave his new job at Amanda's agency to go find Samantha and bring her back. Sam's not having it. Hopefully that's the end of her. I'm not that lucky!
No, No... No I am not, Billy is now pretending to work on the beach to bring her back. He best get a move on, Amanda only give Billy 72 hours or he's fired. I'd like to kill Samantha, violently.
Now I know Heather Locklear was pregnant it all makes sense, she's in less scenes and she's mostly filmed from the chest up or slouched over her desk etc.

Now the BFG, who is Sidney's father has showed up and was to give Craig a cheque from the life insurance policy he had for Sidney. He showed up at Craig's to give his grieving son in law the check. Just before he was to do so, Jennifer (Alyssa Minisculano) walks out of the bedroom in Craig's shirt. The BFG leaves and wishes Craig a happy new life. Long story short, super schemer extraordinaire Jennifer confides in Megan her plan to convince the BFG that nothing really happened and that Craig is still hurting over Sidney so he will give Craig the money, Craig can set up his own agency, become a millionaire and she can marry him. Sure, it seems straight forward to me.

Meanwhile The Crazy Frog is still horny for Dr Mancini and still boinking him even after she miraculously can tell she's pregnant 30 seconds after being inseminated. Megan stopped by the beach house to see him and caught he and Crazy Frog in bed together. Now they are both hatching all kinds of lies to cover up their already numerous lies. Lies on top of lies, sure, seems straight forward to me.

Michael lied to Megan and said Crazy Frog drugged him to have sex with him, as she drugged Peter too. He also told her it was just so she could get pregnant. Now Kyle knows Crazy Frog has been sleeping with Michael too and is demanding a paternity test. Do we have to wait 9 months for this?
Michael agrees to fudge test results if she says she drugged him. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO MOVE. MOVE AWAY, MOVE TO THE MID WEST. IMMIGRATE. GET THE F**K OUT OF MELROSE PLACE.

Yes Megan!!! You slap that Crazy Frog Bitch! Slap her right in her overdone face!

It's safe to say that Megan didn't believe Taylor's bullshit story about drugging Michael with barbiturates to sleep with him because she's a sex addicted bint. Now Michael and Megan have had a fight at Kyle's bar, and it was broken up by Amanda's rich business man/partner/ex type person. Well that's them automatically in a relationship.

F**k this show right in the a**! I did not expect Samantha's mum to pull a shot gun on Billy. WTF!? I hate every writer who worked on this show.
Well at least it made Billy realise that Samantha is a waste of script space and they are now over. Billy's heading back to LA. Sam's gonna stay in Kate's Crabs.
It's how it should be.
