I’m looking forward to her return as I feel the show needs a shakeup, and who better to shake things up than Sheila?

But I really like Steffy and Finn as a couple and I hope this doesn’t spell doom for them. I really can’t see Sheila as mother- in-law material.

Yep, it's been confirmed on Entertainment Tonight that KB will be returning to B&B, and will appear on Thursday and Friday's episodes.

Our talk of her on the other thread must have conjured her up, like Beetlejuice.

Not just this board. Seems like fans on ALL B&B boards speculated that Finn was adopted and that Sheila is his biological mother. I think ever since the news came that B&B hired an Asian woman to play his mom. So like 2 months ago.

Tanner Novlan's bad acting ruined Sheila's comeback scenes for me, but all of this was forgotten when Sheila entered the mansion.

I’m always amazed at how fast someone can be forgiven by their offspring in Soap Land. Sheila and Finn somehow went through a conversation that normally takes months, perhaps years before both parties have closure in less than 30 minutes.

But of course they had to gloss over all of that quickly so the real fun could begin.

The writers even forgot to have Finn ask this stranger "what's your name?" I imagine my first question would be just that one, then "why did you put me up for adoption?" and finally "who's my birth father and do I have any siblings?"

Can the writers never put themselves in these situations and really think how a normal person would react????

Another thing that annoys me. Donna and Katie sit there remembering old times and out of the blue, they bring up Sheila. Really? You haven't mentioned her name in like 3 years, and this day they suddenly talk about her - before knowing that she's back? I hate it when soaps do that, it's just ridiculous. Talk about her AFTER knowing that she's back. Everyone's a psychic.......

Having gone through something similar one time, I could only laugh at the initial scenes between Shelia and Finn. I would say those questions would all be jumping around in ur head, wouldn’t they?

Last time they talked on screen was when Eric & Quinn wanted to renew their vows and Donna remembered good times with Eric. Is it all she's going to do? Remembering Eric as a filler on-screen and babysitting Hope's kids off-screen?

By the way, were Donna and Katie even on the show when all that flashbacks happened?

I liked the reaction of Finn's mother and his father's backstory. I was worried Sheila might have handed him over baby Finn after birth, but it's reasonable that he wanted to protect his grown-up son when he found about Sheila's crimes.

Will Finn ever meet one of his four siblings? Will they be mentioned or will they be forgotten like Hope's half-brother Eric?

My money is on forgotten

Same here. Little Eric/D who? The kid Nick had who Taylor gave birth to but was biologically Brooke's? Heck, Brooke and Ridge shipped off their son RJ to God knows where when he was a kid. He popped up a few years ago only to vanish again.

Sheila has, I believe, 5 children. Twins Daisy & Ryder, Mary, Diana & Finn. Not to mention she had plastic surgery to look exactly like Phyllis and actually died on Y&R.

Bell has once said that what happens in Genoa City stays in Genoa City, but come on!!! They keep on doing crossovers. Summer, Phyllis, Sally & Eric have been part of the Sally crossover backstory. Stop doing crossovers if the soaps aren't intertwined.

Not to mention how Sheila's "not being quite dead" could impact storytelling on Y&R if they let it. If Y&R writers felt obligated to acknowledge what's going on in LA, then Lauren will once again go into panic mode and become needlessly worried about the safety of her own children. Y&R can barely keep hold of their own continuity and storytelling, so here's hoping nobody in Genoa City hears about Nurse Sheila's latest antics.

It's shades of Bobby Ewing/Dallas/Knots Landing, where it was decided that Bobby should stay dead on Knots after he came back to life on Dallas.

When Sheila returned in 2017 Eric wanted to call Lauren immediately to warn her about Sheila. Whether he really did and how Lauren reacted was never mentioned.

I've read Kimberlin Brown is back on contract, I assume it's short-term, but how short can it be? Do you get a contract for only 10 or 15 episodes?

Perhaps a stuff up in the editing room? Probably not but I do see your point. And Donna is back? Where does she hide when not appearing on B&B? There must be an attic somewhere in the Forrester mansion we're unfamiliar with. Perhaps that is where Rick, Bridget, RJ and Jack are hiding.

She's always babysitting Beth & Douglas. Each time they're not with Hope and Liam or Thomas, they're with Donna. Been mentioned so many times they'll probably think Donna is their mom.

Every soap must have one of these characters--the designated babysitter who allows all the front-burner characters to run off on adventures without having to worry about the kid(s). In B&B's case they at least give the role to a character who occasionally appears on screen. For years on General Hospital Liz Webber would have her grandmother Audrey babysitting her kids, even as the actress who played Audrey had long before retired from acting. Audrey was reduced to the offscreen honking of a car horn, at which point Liz would bundle the kids out the door and say Grandma has arrived to pick them up.

Given how quickly those Forrester kids grow up, they won't need babysitters for very long.

Few characters on soaps are good parent material. In real life, how many parents have nannies and babysitters taking the kids every single day? Most parents gladly take care of their own kids. So while they seldom spend much time with their kids, they need to have kids for storyline purpose and future generations. But man, are they not involved in their upbringing!! Lousy shits. :p

Sheila's return trip boosted ratings. When Sheila revealed to Finn that she is his mother it was most watched episode since April 2020. Following episodes at the mansion had 3.3 million viewers, after that it dropped, but it's still above average.

In all fairness B&B always benefits from its lead-in Y&R which has been on ratings fire as well. When Tara was arrested (same day B&B got it's 3.5 million viewers) Y&R almost hit 4 million viewers, a 16-month high.

Do you enjoy Sheila's current run? I still do despite all these plot holes. But what could the endgame be? Maybe nothing big like last time.

No, I’m not enjoying her current run. I don’t like what they did to the Finn character. He accepted Sheila way too fast for someone he had never known, not too mention how naive they’ve made him look in defending her. And the hospital scenes were ridiculous. So far I’m very disappointed with the whole thing.
