No, I’m not enjoying her current run. I don’t like what they did to the Finn character. He accepted Sheila way too fast for someone he had never known, not too mention how naive they’ve made him look in defending her. And the hospital scenes were ridiculous. So far I’m very disappointed with the whole thing.

Same here. I think it was a good idea to have Sheila be Finn's mom. But the way they have made Finn accept his psycho birth mom as his real mom is insulting to adoptions and it's made Finn desperate, dumb and insensitive. How can he, a DOCTOR, not tell that Sheila is faking? That she shows signs of being a sociopath? That when 99 people reveal what she's done and he still chooses to see Sheila's fake side.

I'd rather see him trying to get rid of Sheila but that she refuses to leave.

At least Finn is only dumbed down and not getting psycho, which could have happened - and it actually happened with Justin a few weeks ago, which was more awful than Finn's naive behavior.

I don't like that writers don't go all the way. Finn as a doctor should be curious about his DNA, but he never asks about his father. He pretends he always misses a genetic part of his family, so why doesn't he want to know if he has any siblings? Daisy could mean more trouble for both, Steffy and Sheila.

I have a problem with Steffy. Every Forrester says she is like her grandmother, but for me she is no Stephanie. No man would have treated Stephanie like crap for a decade, but Steffy let it happen.

Why is Ridge only talking about a restraining order instead of confronting Sheila? I understand why Eric is keeping his distance (he has more important things on his mind), but I want a big confrontation between Sheila and Brooke. And once again Taylor is missing in action and this time it's even worse. Taylor came to town to shoot Bill when she thought he raped Steffy, so where is she right now when her daughter needs her the most?

All valid questions. This show constantly insults our intelligence with stuff like this. They just keep stretching all credibility to the limits. It’s so hard for us to buy it anymore.

That’s what I’ve been wondering about. Is it possible Sheila makes Finn just like her and he ends up taking her place as the resident psycho? Is that where this is all heading?

I'm guessing the plotline will only make *us* psycho. Though I admit I would love to develop KB's uncanny "Crazy Sheila Glare" and unleash it on a few of my co-workers, just to get them to clear out of my way once in a while.

I think Sheila should’ve gone back to Y&R instead in retrospect. I never thought I’d say this cause I was such a huge fan of the character but I’m very disappointed in this run. Am I alone in thinking she looks out of place this time on B&B and really doesn’t quite fit anymore?

Didn’t we recently have a thread up talking about Sheila and whether or not we’d like to see her return? This was right before we were told of her return and I’m pretty sure I said I’d love to see her come back for one more reign of terror. So I think I’m partly to blame, sorry.

Well, you have to consider that any "suggested" plotline is only as good as those who execute it. The same writing staff responsible for the Liam/Hope snooze-fest (among other plots) are writing Sheila's return. If her story was written flawlessly and spawned talk of a "B&B renaissance", we'd all be wondering why they weren't writing everything else this well prior to KB's return. So in the case of your suggestion, consider it a case of "You can lead the horse to water, but you can't make it drink."

At first I thought Liam & Hope would support Steffy in this, so Steffy rediscovers her feelings for Liam. Sooner or later she'd dump Finn who turns to Sheila who makes him crazy, but now I doubt that will happen.

When Sheia returned from the dead a few years ago I already thought she didn't quite fit anymore, because B&B is not going crazy anymore. In 2000's Quinn would have gone mad, but in the 2010's writers moved on, sadly in recent years they moved back with Aly, Thomas and Justin behaving very strangely.

Kimberlin Brown's acting saves the plot for me. If she didn't want to return, Bell could easily have made Morgan DeWitt Finn's mother. She only wanted to have Ridge's child, so she gave Finn up for adoption and she is also crazy. This could have been good, too, but having Sheila around is better.

I prefer Hope with Liam and Steffy with Finn at this point. But I still think this whole storyline is headed towards Sheila turning Finn into a much darker character. Finn takes over the reigns from his mother and becomes the resident nut. I hope I’m wrong but I think that’s what the plan is.

My initial thoughts were that they're bringing her back to kill her off once and for all, with her death kicking off one of those multi-suspect murder mystery stories. I even figured they'd pin it on Li, since she's the easiest to write out. Having Sheila end up "dead dead," as in "we see the body and she gets buried" would allow them to all sit around giving each other the side-eye, all while wondering if the killer should be jailed, or a parade should be thrown in their honor.

A quick reminder of Sheila's other children:

In 1997, Sheila gave birth to daughter Mary, fathered by James Warwick. She renamed her Erica Lovejoy and when Erica was a teen, used her to infiltrate the Forrester
clan. In 2003, Sheila revealed she had another daughter, Diana, with Massimo Marone. And in 2009 on Y&R, it came out that years earlier, Sheila had twins fathered by Tom Fisher: a girl, Daisy, and a boy, Ryder.

I completely forgot that Diana is Ridge's half-sister. Obviously Ridge doesn't care about her. I assume that Finn is Sheila's youngest child. Did she look like Phyllis when she seduced Finn's father?

I'm not sure the twins are considered canon any more, or the whole masquerade as Phyllis. They have to pick and choose which things to "honor" and believe me, these two plots deserve no honor. B&B can easily "forget" or at least ignore the twins and "ShPhyllis" (our old pet name for her in this plot, pronounced like 'Syphilis') since those plots were Y&R-centric, just as Y&R is ignoring Sheila's resurrection right now. It would be an interesting plot twist if Steffy, in an effort to get Finn to "snap out of it!" [/Cher], were to track down Erica and/or Diana and bring them to town to have a chat with Finn about "dear, dear mommy" and what sort of life Finn "missed out on" by having her raise him. He would realize having the Finnegans raise him was the best thing that could have happened.

Bell has said that "what happens in Genoa City stays in Genoa City". So in B&B's universe, I doubt Sheila ever had plastic surgery to look like Phyllis or had Ryder & Daisy.

Bell also seems to ignore baby Diana Marone even though it happened on B&B. I'd like to think that Sheila kidnapped an orphan baby to pass off as Massimo's so that he wouldn't have her thrown in jail. Her suddenly having a baby seemed very convenient. Too convenient.

That leaves Mary Warwick aka Erica Lovejoy. She was appalled by Sheila's ways and when she finally met her dad James Warwick, she went to live with him. Mary should be in her 30s now, having no contact with dear ole mom.

Viewers of color don't seem to like Eric's storyline. Lots of tweets about it.

"Carter is being propped as the Black Mandingo buck whom Eric is ordering… to sexually satisfy Quinn. The story is problematic as [hell]. This story has racist slave overtones. There is a lot of unconscious bias operating here.”

"Mandingo was definitely the first word that popped into my head. We will see where this goes but it’s utterly tone deaf at the moment."

Do you agree? Or do you enjoy?

I’m not enjoying the storyline at all to be honest. I think they have seriously hurt the Eric Forrester character beyond belief by having him do something I don’t believe he ever would.

I never thought about the racist overtones of the storyline to be honest. I seriously don’t think it’s intentional on B&B’s part. But if people are offended by it then obviously it will have to change.

I would like to see a Mary/Erica return at some point but not if it’s going to do more damage to this show than has already been done with this story. Maybe she returns to lesson her half brother in their mothers ways? That would make more sense.

There were some scenes between Eric and Quinn I really liked, but it's going in the wrong direction right now. Getting Katie involved is never good. It's nice seeing Justin again, but he is also at the wrong place. Ridge shouldn't trust him.

I can’t get into the whole Eric and Quinn story and where it’s currently heading. I think they’ve done some irreparable damage to the Eric character to be honest. Right now I’m happier watching the 1987 episodes and getting lost there for awhile

I haven't watched the show since Susan and Ronn left. It stinks.

After Susan's last episode, I stopped watching. Since then I read the spoilers to find out when I should read a recap of an episode. I haven't seen a whole episode since 2012. I basically only root for Steffy and Stephanie's legacy. Not enough to make me a viewer again. I am perfectly fine with spoilers, a few recaps here and there and some videoclips of selected scenes, often provided by one of the Steffy fans on Instagram.
