@Canonbox set 7 will be released on the 17th of december

And I believe we could have another set by February. Hopefully the next set will contain more than 20 episodes, box sets 5 and 6 contained 30 episodes each so it's a bit disappointing that they've reverted back to just 20. Emmerdale was broadcasting just over a 100 episodes a year in the early 1990s, so they could easily release a whole years worth of episodes across three DVD sets.

Remind me again who that is. I only really started watching the year of the plane crash. I loving watching these episodes though. the show these days is a far cry from what it was.

1990, the first full year as 'Emmerdale' actually had more drama than 1993. The plane crash was more of an isolated disaster.

The Tates already showed that they were the Kings and Whites of their day with dark secrets from the Lord of the Manor's past, staged insurance scams and generally throwing their weight around the village.

Been watching some of the Volume 7 boxset this morning, and it's interesting to see that in the space of a couple of years since they dropped the word Farm from the title, the show's farming scenes were rapidly decreasing, but I kept watching as it's a sign of the changing times.
