What Would the Last Scene

If you could change the last scene, what would it be? For me J.R. would have been thrown out of a plane with no parachute by the henchmen of one of his enemies, perhaps Jeremy Wendell. Then we would know for sure he is dead.

Are we talking Lorimar Dallas with the series ending "Conundrum", the Dallas Reunion movies or TNT Dallas. Either or, I don't like the idea of JR being tossed out of a plane, besides, the Southfork pool would probably soften his fall.

Since i dont want TNT crap Dallas to exist and Conundrum would be the final ever episode

Miss Ellie and Clayton return from their world wide cruise as she is ill

on her death bed, the family are called round and she reveals that Digger is the real father of JR and he and Cliff are half brothers

just to see the look of horror, shock and disbelief on JRs face that he aint Jock Ewings boy after all!

freeze frame

The END OF DALLAS EVER
no dire movies or worse stll CC i havent a clue nonsense

For Conundrum I would have reunited Bobby & Pam. It would have brought closure to all the fans who had waited for Pam to return for the past 4 years. The show started with Bobby & Pam so to end it with them would have been like it had come full circle. :)

I think JR being thrown out of a plane, well threatened at least with being thrown out (by the mafia?) would have been a great cliffhanger, but not a clear ending imo.

Good thread though, gonna have a good think of a suggestion or 30 lol....

Can we please NOT have JR thrown out of a plane??!

He could be IN the plane with his famous grin after throwing all of Season 13 out of the plane, bar the Ewing family (original), reunite with Sue Ellen and everyone flies off into the sunset.

I like the idea of Pam returning and Ms. Ellie disclosing that JR was indeed Diggers son. It would have been ironic that the very first episode was entitled "Diggers daughter" and JR gave Pam unholy hell when in reality it would have been the exact opposite.

I like the idea of JR being the result of Digger's and Ellies affair but wouldn't like to leave the show there.

Come on,how many of you would love to see the fallout?

Sure, it would have been great to see how JR would handle it! But it would have more interesting if Digger had been alive to witness it too!

I'd be fine with Dallas ending with JR learning the results of a paternity test!

It would be interesting but I think it would bring dishonour to Ellie's character for hiding such a secret from the family. I couldn't see Ellie hiding such a truth from any of her children. She was always a straightforward and honest person.

I'm sure JR would dismiss such a revelation as being the babblings of someone with an unfit mind.

Yes, it would, in a way, 'ruin' the Miss Ellie character. Besides, I just can't picture JR and Cliff as related in any way... I just can't!o_O

You're right miss Stevens.
Ellie could never really do anything like that.
But what if she didn't know?

Sure,JR would contest it but what if the results were conclusive?

I don't know if anyone would want to see JR ruined like that. That was a part of his power, being the eldest son of Jock Ewing. It's one of the cores of the series and to destroy that would make everything else up for question, especially if it was he last scene.

Good food for thought with these ideas for the final scene.

I totally agree!:10: It'd be too 'unsettling' and weird after JR spent 12 seasons doing everything for Ewing Oil, his daddy & his legacy.:(

I hate the suggestion of J.R. being Digger's son. Just like I hated that they actually made Pam not be Digger's biological daughter. Don't mess with this stuff in Dallas, a series where the Ewing vs. Barnes rivalry, and a Ewing son marrying a Barnes daughter, are paramount to the magic of the show. At least Pam is Digger's legal daughter, but by changing the biology they watered it down a bit and for nothing!

And then there's Dusty not being Clayton's biological son, as they are uncle-nephew biologically. I mean, how many more such cases can there be in Dallas with a different legal parent(s) compared to a biological parent(s), with Dusty, Pam, Christopher and Charlie? J.R. too? No way.

Edit: I forgot Ray, too.
