I know that English is not my natural language, but what do people not understand in "mentioning" a character ????
I'm :censer: not talking about having an update on Steven... I'm talking about characters saying that they miss their son, or sibling.
In GOT when the characters mention loved ones...
I am looking for some examples of characters gone, but not forgotten. Characters who died or left, but are still mentioned from time to time.
Were there any in Santa Barbara ? I know that Mary Duvall dying left with a big impact on some characters. But was she mentioned after her passing?
Genuine question : have you watched Game Of Thrones? It's the most soapy kind of heroic fantasy series. Many characters gone for good are regularly mentioned, even years after.
Same with OG Fallon. She was dead, and they didn't plan to bring her back (trying to replace her with Amanda), yet...
Exactly. And the main character is in such a good place, in the end, after all that pain and loneliness she faced since she was kid, that I think they should leave her to that.
But will Netflix give up such a successful show?
I never ever watched Doctor Who, so I never knew its audience target, especially in the 60's. I thought It was a teen show actually.
Anyway, for its time, including at rape in the show was indeed pretty dark.
They're contemplating the idea of a season 2, and Anya Taylor, the lead actress talks about what she'd wish for her character.
Maybe I am the only one on this, but season 1 was near perfection, and the...
It's quite surprising to see that sitcoms can - sometimes - go darker than some soaps (Nu Dynasty anyone?)
Early seasons of the sitcom Mom had its share of dark moments too. I could list 4 of them, but even if if it's a sitcom, I don't want to spoil it for anyone...
About your first point: actually, I was reading many comments about Steven in social medias, and fans either wants his return, or a resolution about the character. I belong to the latest camp. Not that I would not enjoy his return, but for me (and it seems I am not alone on this) the worst is...
You can't stop proving my points, can you? Thanks anyway, with such a benevolent answer, now I know that my guts feelings were right.
Good. Now I can literally put you in my ignore list. You should do the same.
Maybe you can tell that to those 2,9K viewers who approved this comment:
You see, viewers need a reminder that Steven was important to the Carringtons, two seasons ago. They don't like that "they all just forgot Steven".
Your comparison with OG Dynasty is interesting, and tends to prove my...
Quoted for truth, as they say. Evan never was a character. Just a living plot device to go from A to B in they storyline. That's why it doesn't matter. It doesn't have the same impact that a character like Jill Bennett had, when she almost killed "poor Val" in Knots Landing... As you said, Evan...
Yes Al Corey wanted to play a gay character. Jack Coleman resented that. Both actors are straights. But only one was brave and/or confortable and confident enough with his own sexuality to play character from the other team.
