At that point John Ross reminded me more of Jock than J.R. Christopher on the other hand appearing in a lab coat and looking at alternative energies was also a good fit. In hindsight I thought this is a good start - minus the Elena nonsense. We had one of the boys doing things the old way, while the other was attempting something new (fracking) which by the way is causing major concerns around the world generally in farming communities. For John Ross it was old school versus Christopher, new school. So this push/pull effect was the right path. The involvement of Southfork was also crucial in all this...so the story was there.
