Actors that deserve a better career

[Carrie Fairchild]

In my opinion, Zoe Lucker should be all over British TV these days. For me, she was Footballers Wives and hot off the back of that show, she should've been at least snapped up for a prominent role in one of the British soaps. Instead, she seems to have had a string of bad luck / poorly chosen roles. She was the lead in the ITV army drama Bombshell that never ended up airing in the UK. Her role in HolbyBlue was more of a supporting part if I remember correctly (she was the wife of one of the cops). She was epic in EastEnders ("Bubbly's in the FRIIIIDDDGGGEE!!) but unfortunately her character Vanessa wasn't your standard EE character and therefore was never going to hang around. Her stints on Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road were also limited (she played the mother to younger, more prominent characters). She really should've been behind the bar of the Rovers or playing a lead role in one of the medical soaps by now but instead, she's bounced around in the shows mentioned above and hasn't had a film or TV credit since 2016.

I would have liked to see more of Susan Gilmore and also Robert Foxworth in lead roles in other series.

I liked The Royals and think Alexandra Park and William Moseley don't have the success they should have.

Rob Lowe (especially in the 80´s) should have been THE newcommer of this area and not Tom Cruise.

Pamela Bellwood and Tyne Daly(who both were casted for Dynasty´s Claudia) are very good actresses and should have had bigger careers.

Sam Behrens deserved more decent roles for such a charismatic actor. I hated his character on Knots, but that was down to the writers, not him.

He was way too good for a show like Sunset Beach but has sadly done little else since.

I think Joan Van Ark is a great actress and I would have loved to see her in some movie roles after Knots Landing ended.
I also would have liked to see some others have more of a career in t.v. or film:

I've often thought Ann Jillian (most famous for her role as Cassie on IT'S A LIVING) should've been a bigger star. She certainly had a high "Q" rating with audiences in the '80s, but her career is surprisingly sparse of content. She played herself in a TV movie, won some awards, had some failed sitcoms, and then just kind of fizzled out of the limelight.​

Morgana Robinson an Australian British Female Impersonator she is great she deserves to be in bigger films.
