OK, on DOOL, we've had Jane Elliot (the best one), Shelley Taylor Morgan (I could have been a better Anjelica!), Judith Chapman (marginal), and now Morgan Fairchild (beyond D-List!)......

Ugh. Does anyone know where Anjelica has been for 26 years? I've given up on the show, but am curious about that.

I think that is their main reason for bringing her in (well, one of two): she's basically a clean slate. They can bring in a character that is already connected to other characters, but has no immediate back-story, allowing the writers to dream it up and fill in the blanks.

(The other reason is because like it or not, the name "Morgan Fairchild" still can inspire press coverage. Stunt casting will never go out of style. )

Hey, now that you mention it, all three of the other Anjelicas did appear on GH at one time or another.

Despite the "famous for being famous" aspect, I kind of like Fairchild. She never took herself as seriously as.,,.say, Zsa Zsa Gabor, despite having a much more durable resume than all three Gabor sisters put together.
