And there are scenes where he didn't wear underwear, how was it possible that no one say something?

When I first saw this I thought hmm....no, not sure what you're on about, but thinking about it you could be onto something.
I was recently watching some early episodes with said Bobby in some cream trousers and I've never noticed before but it did appear that his lower regions were, shall I say, swinging in the breeze.

I'll be keen to observe more now.

Bobby certainly did like his bar brawls and hardly ever lost. Because he was a "goody goody" I reckon he wanted to look tough.

I had to look this one up and was surprised I had never heard of it before. I guess it makes sense. With all that movement on the tennis court I can see wearing the right underwear being very important.

Bobby Valentine sure does have a nice ring to it, although there was another famous Bobby Valentine in Texas around this same time so it might’ve caused problems for Sue Ellen’s marketing department.

Could well be the fit of his trousers, I prefer the fit of these swimming trunks. He certainly was a pin up boy.
