And it was. It’s a wonderfully nostalgic episode, especially John Boy’s closing narration where he explains that just a few years later, the children were scattered at Christmastime  “in the hedgerows of Normandy, or on Christmas duty in the emergency ward of a big hospital.”</p></blockquote><p></p>
