This is a one off event that lead to the improvement but the reef is still very much under threat. The recent regeneration hasn't made up for the half of the coral cover that has been lost during the last 25 years. We still need to take urgent action to address climate change and the damage to the Great Barrier Reef in the last quarter of a century is just one sign of why the problem shouldn't be ignored.</blockquote>
