Coronation Street Cobbles star Frank Mills has died aged 93

Actor Frank Mills who was best known for playing Betty Turpin's long lost love interest and husband Billy Williams from 1995 to 1997 has passed away aged 93.

His death has been announced just days after the death of Mike Baldwin actor Johnny Briggs.

Viewers saw Mills' character of Billy being killed off in episodes which aired on itv3 last week.

I had forgotten all about him married to Betty but recognised him from his photo. I remember him in a Foyles War episode
