I’ve been listening to this song all morning and it sounds to me like early Coldplay which makes me happy. The more I listen to it the more I like it and I think it’s gorgeous.

Chris Martin seems like a really terrific guy. This week he visited anorectic teens in a hospital in Sweden & sang to them. And in return, they taught him the Swedish hit song Känn Ingen Sorg För Mig, Göteborg by Håkan Hellström. A song he promised to sing during his Gothenburg concert. And he did.

Thats great to read @Emelee and it gives me a good excuse to post this...

Coldplay share ten percent of their earnings between 28 charities
The popular frontman of Coldplay Chris Martin gives 10 percent of his earnings to charity and this is not something he has developed lately, the roots to this goes back to his childhood when his mother kept one penny of his 10 penny pocket money to teach him the importance of sharing.

Martin’s band mate said on a TV show: “Ten per cent of Chris’ pocket money goes to charity.”

Martin, who is worth an estimated 70 million pounds, said, “I used to get 10 pence pocket money. The first time she gave me nine, I was like, ‘What is this?’ (And my mother was like), ‘Get used to it, son.’ Mum still gives me three pounds a week.”

This has inspired his band-mates who have also given away 10 percent of their cash to 28 different charities every month.

Martin explained, “It’s very important for us (to give money to charity regularly). It drives us on. We don’t talk about it that much but you asked. It is true!”

:loveit:

I just saw the "breaking news" on a major German news site that the CEO whose affair was exposed at a Coldplay concert was fired, and I'm wondering why something like that is breaking news?

Is this whole story a similar topic in other countries? It seems like a typical silly season story to me.

Yep it made the Swedish news too!

I guess nobody is safe in today's virtual society. Back in the 1960s this only happened to celebrities. :cool1
All joking aside, I do feel bad for their spouses.

It's exploded across Australian media. It's the story which keeps on giving. Some have protested enough is enough and they are two consenting adults. That might be but I really feel for the spouses and children caught up in this mess.

It's the story which keeps on giving.

Yes, more than just a human interest story, this one is like a soap opera, with the reader/viewer able to indulge in schadenfreude from seeing filthy rich (and filthy, rich) attractive people coming undone through their own libidinous excesses and hubris.

As said, it's not nice for their respective families, but at least such affirmative evidence is very useful when divorcing a spouse who is worth tens of millions who would probably use those resources to conceal and gaslight given the chance.

Isn't it a bit strange that only one of the people has "resigned", while its "chief people officer" may yet continue to "lead by example and win trust with employees of all levels, from CEO to managers to assistants":

I have zero tolerance for anyone not respecting the sanctity that is marriage...regardless of circumstances. I'd have an adverse reaction if someone like this walked into a meeting spouting, "I lead by example."
