Lucas looks over the Wade Ranch property with John Ross and Mateo. He says he's interested and that he talked to both his mother and father about it. John Ross says he'd be keeping the mineral rights but the property and the cattle business would all be his, at a more than fair price with a zero interest land contract. A television news broadcaster says, "The head of CalcoHarwood, Effrin Ames, died in an plane explosion over Eastern Europe. Authorities are investigating the suspicious incident. CalcoHarwood shares took a hit, down eight and half percent as concerns mount over their investment in Russian oil." Pamela turns her TV off in her office and makes a call. "Did you hear about Effrin?" On the phone with her John Ross answers, "Mateo just got the information. We're at the Wade Ranch with Lucas. How did you hear?" "It's on the news?" "Already?" "CalcoHarwood stock took a hit. Down eight and a half percent." "What the hell. How did word spread so fast? What's giving no on?" "They mentioned CalcoHarwood's heavy investment in Russian Oil." "Effrin had some important contact to put those deals together." "Keep me posted John Ross." "Of course I will. Love you." "Love to too." In Sydney Andrew and Zach are in bed together with Zach leaning over and kissing his lover in a sweaty climax as the phone finishes ringing. Zach hands it to Andrew. "It's your brother." A text message comes through next. Out of breath Andrew sits up and says, "I've got to take this."
