[QUOTE="stevew, post: 25708, member: 130"] Beau and Lucy climb the stairs at South Fork late one evening. She says, "I was thinking politics." "What about it?" "We were talking about something you could do with your life. You served in the Marines. Distinguished in combat." "I don't how much that means to running for office." "You received the Medal of Honor." "That doesn't make me capable of running the government." "I'm not talking about running it. I'm talking about have a vote. And for that to need to be a decent man who cares about doing the right thing. Your medal proves that. The rest yo get from your advisors. Just think about it." At her door she tells him good night. Outside from his window you can see Beau get undressed. Alone and depressed Emily looks up to watch him. Chris sits across a desk from a doctor and says, "All right. Let's here it." "Are you sure you want to know?" "I have the right to know." "He's not your son." "Are you certain?" "Positive. It's just not possible." Sophia and Emily lave lunch together in Dallas. Sophia says to her granddaughter, "you have to decide. Either you're a Wendell or a Ewing." "That's not fair." "I'm sorry. I know your mother and father didn't have the best of marriages and it's hard to forgive him, but the Ewings have attacked your father. Your husband and his cousin have nearly bankrupted him. You can't be OK with that." "Uncle Andrew doesn't blame the Ewings. Grandpa stole those shares in CalcoHarwood from Amanda's mother." "I'm not going to defend the man. Your grandfather was a horrid person. I could tell you stories. But CalcoHarwood became your father's life. The Ewings didn't only take almost all of his shares from him, they broke the company up. I'm sure they even murdered Effrin Ames, that guy they brought in." "Why would they kill the guy they brought in?" "Destabilize the company. Take it away from your father." "I'm sorry, but I'm not leaving South Fork. You can call me a Ewing all you want. I'm not about to walk away from them. They're my family." "And that horrid husband of yours. He's that important to you?" "No. But his family is." "You're a Wendell and a Patiño. You have noble blood and you choose a life in this little cottage with these, these deplorables." "They're my family, grandmother." "So be it." Sofia walks out on her. John Ross and Beau play horseshoes out back while Pamela and Emily sit by the pool playing cards. Lucy walks out of the house and asked about Christopher. Emily says, "He's at the lab, like always." "I think I'll take a ride over there." Sofia meets with Dmitry and Dia onboard a mega yacht in the Gulf. She says, "I tried to talk her into leaving the Ewings, but she insists they're family." "I am sorry," Dmitry says. "We cannot always get through to our family." Lucy walks out to Lucas's car late at night. "I went over to the lab to talk to you earlier today. And you weren't there." "I had other things to do." "And your marriage? Your child?" "Listen Lucy I'm not in the mood for a lecture from you." "John Ross and I . . ." "I'm sorry but screw John Ross. He owns half of my life's work, half of my father's ranch, he married my wife, he's plotted against me and taken everything he wants. How much you wanta to bet Jeremy's his son?" "Christopher. What are you talking about? Emily cares about you." "Screw you all." Chris walks away. Dia gets out of bed with Lucy in a hotel room. She watches him get dressed. He says, "Do you know about your cousins selling major assets in the chemical division before the spin off?" "Yes. There was a board meeting where they just meet quorum to above the sales. As a major stockholder I was consulted. So was Amanda." "Do you know all of what was sold?" "No, I didn't really pay much attention to the particulars. Several assets though, not just chemical. Why?" "My company is co invested in the chemical subsiderary and I feel we over paid, considering the missing assets." "I don't know. I'm just not sure why you would think those assets were going with the chemical division. In my opinion if you'd acquired them too, you would have underpaid. Considerably." Pulling up his pants he gives her a look that is clear, he knows she knows what he's after. John Ross and Beau play pool in the rec room on the second floor of one of the barns. Pamela and Lucy walk up with snacks from the house. Lucy sits at the bar watching. After sometime of enjoying themselves, not a care in the world, an explosion rocks them from below. John Ross watches Pamela fall through the floor. Rushing to her a few more explosions and the room collapses. From the outside the bar is engulfed in flames. Chris pulls his pants on as he rushes out of his cottage, barefoot, running toward the firing yelling, "Emily!" The fire rages lighting up the twilight sky.
