John Ross and Pamela dance in the middle of the crowded Oil Barons Ball. He says to her that Beau is considering joint the team at Whitaker Ackerman assigned to Wendell Oil and Gas. She asks why they'd want to have a Ewing privy to what they're doing. He replies, "Stupidity." She says that she finalized the deal with Amanda. Lone Star will get twenty-five percent of her investment company, EwWood and that Line Star will over see her slowly selling off of her CalcoHarwood shares and the reinvestment of the money. Lucy dances with Mitch saying it's silly to stay at a hotel when there's room at South Fork. "I'd love you to see what I'm doing. I'm transforming the attic into a room for them. There will be a play room and bedrooms, a bath room and a room for their au pair. I'd love you to see it." Chris dances with Ava Wendell. "So what brings you back to Dallas?" "My mother wants me on the board of Wendell Oil and Gas." "Don't you think that's s but odd? A woman with no experience running anything, sitting on the board of an Oil Company being run by a kid barely out of diapers." "I've been involved with some of the nations buggest endowments." "That's giving away money darlin'. I'm talking about making it. And what's that nephew of yours done to take him seriously?" "Managed our governor's very successful campaign. And he's managed several new oil plays already. Taken right out from under CalcoHarwood." "Well the Ewings are back. Well put a stop to that."
