[QUOTE="stevew, post: 26421, member: 130"] John Ross works on mending a fence with Mateo. Returning to the barns of South Fork John Ross and Mateo unpack the truck before heading up to the house. They encounter Chris walking straight for them. "Word is both Beau and Milly Lee have taken up with the Wendell's bid in Mexico." "Taken up how?" "Wendell's hired Whitaker Ackerman and put Beau and Milly on the project. And they've got Matta MacLoed hired as a consultant. Do you have any idea how much we've got tied up in this project?" "Of course I do. I put the project together. I'll talk to him." "Every move Ewing Oil makes Wendell's checking us. This has gotta stop." "Especially as they always seem to be cheating." John Ross puts his hand i Chris's shoulder. "Leave this to me. Let's go and have dinner. No talk of business." "Any word on Dmtry and Long's bid." "I've heard they extended the time line for the announcement because the Mexican government's looking into bribery on their part." "Well let's see what happens." "Did you have something to do with this?" "Me involved as bribery. I swear on the virtue of my good name, I had nothing to do with anything like that." The boys laugh while walking up to the house.
