Denise Richards joins cast of B&B

For real, it's not April 1st. Denise Richards' career has fallen so low that she takes a job at B&B.

She will play Flo's mother Shauna. A fun-loving Vegas woman with secrets. She comes to LA when she hears her daughter is in trouble.

First airdate is April 3.

I mean, she's doing one of those Real Housewives series, so an acting job is surely better than that.

B&B tends to have a short attention span when it comes to creating characters (or bringing back those who left) like these. They come on like gangbusters, but within three or four months the writers have lost interest. I don't think the character will last six months, but it might be even less if Richards can't take the breakneck pace of soaps.
