Vehicles built before 1975 didn't have catalytic converter and used leaded fuel.  From what I remember from that time one only had, Regular (leaded), Unleaded, and Diesel fuels at a typical gas station. Regular fuel was the least expensive and diesel was the most expensive. I don't remember "Premium" fuel coming until the early-1990's.</p></blockquote><p></p>
