I read today by chance that Days Of Our Live actor Drake passed away at a young age of 70 years which is still young, I really only know Drake from Days Of Our Lives as John Blake since 1986, I will certainly gonne miss him as a actor even though I can't watch Days anymore but the memory will certainly remain.

I wish Drake his family, friends and specially the Days family all the best with this sad loss. :(

The news of his death made me sadder than I expected. I am a loyal reader of the soap press and I always found Drake Hogestyn to be very likeable in interviews. To be honest, John Black was never one of my favorites on Days, but he was one of the most defining characters on the show. As many times as John Black has died on Days, I wonder how Drake Hogestyn's death will be dealt with. By the way, who would have thought that his Days dad Dick Van Dyke would outlive Drake Hogestyn?

Surprised and sad by the news today. Pancreatic cancer is devilish. Condolences to his family and friends.

Sad news. Definitely a huge loss for the Days and daytime families. I don’t remember ever hearing he was in poor health so this is actually a surprise to me.

R.I.P.

I think he was an underrated actor. He didn’t have much range, but what he did, he did well. And that’s a fact.

He was almost certainly the inspiration for Joey Tribbiani’s “fart smelling” face on Friends.
