[QUOTE="Ked, post: 147894, member: 54"] I disagree that 'lazy' is the right word. I read that when he came on the show, he watched only every other episode of the series. I suppose he would have to, given how little time he would have had to get familiar with the characters and the world they lived in. The same could have applied to THE COLBYS, so that Paulsen didn't know exactly what the family dynamic of the Colby family was like. So his reasons for Sable's vendetta against Alexis could be the result of that. So if that were the case, then he wasn't being lazy. He was just being hurried and had limited knowledge of the characters' backstories and whatnot. But even so, I still say the whole thing wasn't OOC for any of the characters involved: -Jason disowning the twins as soon as he found out they weren't his biological children? Sure that's in-character for him. Look at how quickly he was willing to push Sable, his wife of 25+ years, out the door... FOR HER OWN SISTER, whom he hadn't seen in most of those 25+ years. Plus, when Frankie was agonizing over coming face-to-face with Philip after all these years, guilty about her affair with Jason, it was Jason himself who said, "We didn't do anything wrong!" Um, hello, dude? You. Slept. With. Your. Brother's. WIFE. And had a son with her. -Plus, Jason made a bevy of rash, harsh decisions over the course of those two seasons, such as being quick to believe that Philip was responsible for Connie's death, never once giving his own brother the benefit of the doubt; or when he went after Philip and Frankie in a chopper and got right in front of their car so that they went crashing off the side of the road. So him overreacting to Alexis' news actually makes sense. -Alexis having a fling with Jason? I can see that. Alexis had a penchant for falling into bed with random men over the years, some of them with questionable quality (coughNeilMcVanecough), why should she respect the boundaries of not sleeping with her cousin's husband? -Alexis telling Jason about the twins? Now that's harder to see, given how Alexis usually had a motive for doing her cruel deeds. I suppose she could have done it because she found out about how much Sable had been screwing around with Jeff and Fallon's marriage, and wanted to punish her cousin.
