1) I had no idea Star Trek covered the Bajorans. I always thought they were first introduced in DS9

2) Even better was not remembering Michelle Forbes in a recurring role.

Apart from her introduction episode they haven't really delved into the world of Bajor

I believe it was originally intended for Ro to move on to DS9 but Michelle Forbes was unavailable so the part was rewritten as Major Kira.

Though I really loved Nana Visitor in the role of Kira.

Actually, MF said no to DS9. No prob as we got Kira out of it!

In "Voyager's" "Extreme Measures" episode, we find out that nearly all of the Maquis have been killed in the Aloha Quadrant. In canon, Ro's fate remains unknown.
