Family Affairs 1997-2005 (Channel 5 Soap) - How would you bring it back?

I've always thought about how Channel 5 could bring the show back. It would mean reversing the trend of some mistakes that were made along the way.

Series Premises:-
Quiet suburbs etc (Hayes, Wharncliffe Viaduct, Ruislip, Denham, Iver, Yeading/Grand Union Canal, Maidenhead and Uxbridge) just outside London AND NOT a range of different people living on a bustling outer London street. Within the series premises, the modern, middle-class houses and spacious apartments whose geographic relation to one another isn't clearly defined by the series. The primary meeting place for characters being The Lock, a slick bar/restaurant located around a riverside marina district. Also, there would be expansive parklands and forested areas that would also be frequently visited by characters.

Format:-
Duncan Hart (Rocky Marshall), along with twin son/daughter Ewan Hart and Stella Hart, with the Hart family rebuilt under Duncan as the patriarch as such, along with other characters such as Maria (Annie Miles) and Tim Webster (Idris Elba). Other characters would include Dave Matthews, Cat Matthews/Webb/McKenzie, Dusty McHugh, Pearl McHugh, Dudley Starr, Siobhan Jones, Gary Costello, Chrissie Costello, Chloe Costello and Myra Costello. Also, there would be Billy Cockerill and Samantha Cockerill, as well as Eileen Day/Callan.

Revamps/Changes:-
Immediately within the first 2 years, the show's theme tune and opening titles from 1997-1999 would be reinstated to reflect the serial's new direction. They would deploy the original style titles with Duncan and Maria especially, as well Tim, Ewan, Stella and maybe various other characters as mentioned above with a pet dog, over this the quiet suburbs reinstated away from Charnham that was based in the city of London. For several months into the return, the existing locations of the interior of residents homes and the Marina would continue to feature, with characters moving homes too. Despite the tube station opening sequence, the exterior shots of the show's locales the frequently visited quiet suburbs etc (Hayes, Wharncliffe Viaduct, Ruislip, Denham, Iver, Yeading/Grand Union Canal, Maidenhead and Uxbridge) just outside London suggested that Charnham Common/Charnham was never the show's true location, and Eileen Day/Callan selling The Black Swan to re-buy The Lock (now refurbished/redesigned). The row of narrow shopfronts, terraced houses, minimarket and already opened businesses along with Stanley Street and London would not be seen again. In quick succession, residents will have moved houses from time to time, the geographical focus of the series wouldn't have been retconned, and explicitly stated as close to a river or market town in South East England/Home Counties that would get visited.

Conclusion:-
Finally, ultimately, all in all, that's how I would bring the show back.

The opening titles looked something like this:-

As you can see above, Duncan Hart (Rocky Marshall) and Maria Simons/Starr/Farmer (Annie Miles), and depending on if Barry McCormick (Nick Trip) was still currently acting, i'd have included him also. As for the screenshot photo of Duncan Hart along with Tim Webster (Idris Elba) and Claire Toomey/Callan, Melanie Hart/Farmer is already dead, along with Roy Farmer. Cordelia Bugeja is still currently acting, but I don't know about Tina Hall or Miles Petit, and Barry McCormick as mentioned.

Producers such as Phil Redmond/Morag Bain/David Andrews/Stuart Doughty/Jon East/David Hanson/Paul Marquess/Christopher McCaw/Colin McKeown/Will Scarnell or Lizzie Taylor would've been worth considering too, and how Johnathan Young should NEVER have been allowed anywhere near the soap in the first place, as he was responsible for putting Family Affairs (Channel 5's best programme) in the knackers yard altogether in 2005 after 8 years, just like he did to The Bill on ITV in 2010.)

I never really understood why Channel 5 would axe it's flagship soap Family Affairs from when Channel 5 and Family Affairs first began on 30th March 1997, yet Channel 4 had already lost Brookside by 2003, and so why in 2005 axing Family Affairs and Channel 4 retaining Countdown after Richard Whiteley's death in 2005 - Countdown should have been axed also, along with Brookside and Hollyoaks, as Channel 4 isn't much better than Channel 5 really. It would make more sense for Channel 4 to rename itself to Four and with the logo being "FOUR" or "four" in both higher case and lower case lettering and rebranding itself like they did with Channel 5 during 2002-2011.

Supposing the opening titles worked back to the roots originally:-
