I was a huge fan of the Franchise. I watched season 1 to 6 of TWD with care. Got bored by the mess it became with seasons 7 & 8 (show runner Scott Gimple). Season 9 (show runner Angela Kang) was good imo.

I didn't enjoyed much Fear season 1. I liked season 2B a lot. And I LOVED season 3 : Fear found it way, and the Clark Family was so interesting. Season 3 even made Madison (the mother) likable and complex (it wasn't an easy task, as much of the fans - I included - really disliked her during season 1 & 2)

Then Dave Erickson (Fear show runner) was let go, and Scott Gimple (promoted by AMC to overlook the licence) came over and brought the worst show ruiners we could not even imagine : Andrew Chambliss & Ian Goldberg. By the way AMC, good job replacing ONE competent guy buy TWO dumb guys with no skills. They literally made the show unwatchable. I really gave up with Season 5B... All the characters behave differently. There is no big plot, and the littles ones are at best annoying, at worst incoherent. I can't call hat plots. It's just situations that make no sense. And there is no more "Fear" factor. A zombie show that inspire no fear ? Yes, we can be grateful to Ian & Andrew for the worst TV I have ever watched. By the way, let's call them Iandrew as I don't want to waste time spelling both their names.

Iandrew came from Once Upon A Time (a show that I actually loved for its first season. Really, It was clever, coherent, with a a great plot. Season 2 lost me. But it's an other story) and for some reason, they gave us a Disney version of what a Zombie show could be. Well, I'm open minded. I am not again an optimistic approach of the genre. But their approach was not optimistic. It was simply dumb (some may say "gimply dumb"). Season 5 felt like an insult to intelligence. Not only fans of the show are outraged, but the critics - worldwide - are very bad. What does AMC do ? They renew the show for a new season, with the same idiotic team.

Does AMC stands for "All Made Cheap" ?

Anyway, as websites reported it, a petition has been created online, hoping AMC will realize it's absolutely a necessity to fire those show ruiners. AMC waited to years for TWD to get a new one. And now it's been 2 years that we - fans - are suffering from this horrible show that Fear has become. I really think it's damaging an already damaged licence/Franchise/Brand as a whole.

So please, if you can, take a little of your time and help us to save a dying show :

By the way, I would LOVE to work at AMC. It's the only company I know that actually promotes a guy that literally sucked at his job (Scott Simple).

Season 6 will be bottle episodes :noway:

Ian & Andrew will are still in charge. So there is absolutely no reason for me to even throw a look at it. I will read the comments on reddit, and I will surely laugh.

Here's an interesting article about what made Fear The Walking Dead better than the mother show in some areas. Do you agree?

For me, Fear actually only seemed better in the times when people were disappointed with The Walking Dead, so Fear, which was never that good compared to the mother show, couldn't disappoint that much.

sometime 2005 (i guess)
For me, Fear was dead the moment Nick died. Didn't have any further interest in it after that and watched only a handful more episodes after and then stopped. To me, Nick was kinda the "intelligence" of the show for me and without him, it just felt dumb.
The last 2, 3 seasons of the mother show were torture as well and was bored to hell with that commenwealth storyline, it felt like Alexandria all over again, very repetetive.

After Negan killed Abe and Glenn with that bat, it went farther downhill with each new season and never recovered, they should really have stopped when Rick left.
So glad it's finally over, have no further interest in any spinoffs whatsoever. Guess i'm very done with that franchise for good. Looking at the ratings, so is the vast majority of the audience.
