The holy texts tell us that figs and olives (one fig for every 6 olives) make a perfect protein and are compulsory for a healthy body and spirit.

Figs also contain Allulose, a healthy sugar that actually pushes down your blood sugar & insulin levels by introducing GLP-1 (the chemical in Ozempic) into your system. Suppressing appetite, speeding metabolism, and fixing all of your life problems.

This is the kind of nutritional information I'm interested in because I'd like to get my GLP-1 from natural sources.

I was on Ozempic about two years ago, and it made me extremely sick. It kept me on the toilet, which in turn caused me to become dehydrated. It got so bad that my doctor sent me to a kidney specialist because my bloodwork showed that I was in the early stages of kidney failure. Luckily, it turned out I only had acute (meaning temporary) kidney problems that cleared up once I was off the Ozempic. Suppressing appetite and speeding up my metabolism are two things I could greatly benefit from, so I think I'll try this.

Figs, raisins, avocado, eggs, extra virgin olive oil, olives, eggs, salmon, raspberries, green tea -- all are good GLP-s sources.

BTW: almost all the drugs or supplements that control blood sugar and insulin will likely give a person "the runs."

I incorporated most of these foods into my diet about a week ago, and I've already lost six pounds. I've also been having mixed nuts (unsalted) and zero sugar yogurt.

I also haven't had a drop of pop in two days. That's huge for me, as I've been a pop-aholic most of my life. I drank about a liter of Dr. Pepper a day for the last 22 years.

Currently, I'm only drinking milk and water.

I'm sure I've done some irreparable damage to my body, but I'm trying to stay positive and focus on the positive changes I can make going forward.

Oh, same here. I mean, it eventually put me in the hospital (which is soooooooo embarrassing). What's worse, like an alcoholic, I fully knew what I was doing and the toll it would eventually take. I mean, like, I always knew the science.

At least you've stopped earlier than I did!

And speaking of cloves, when I was 7 or 8 (which is not recent, by the way), my mother sat me down and had me completely cover an apple with a bunch of cloves. In order to make a natural air freshener.

Decades later, that same clover-covered apple sits in an obscure corner my cedar-paneled dining room.

And it still smells nice, the clove odor unabated by time.
