Hi Everyone!

In the music section we've long enjoyed our top tens.
So how about if we make one for the movie section too?

I thought here we could list our top ten favorite movies with different actors/actresses, directors or maybe even top ten favorite movies from different decades?

Anyone game?

If you are how about starting with top ten favorite movies of all times?

Take care,
Love:
Karin

I'm glad to see that you are all in. I am getting excited about this.

Will there be a Definitive SoapChat Top Ten, you know, calculated from the votes? Then perhaps each movie top ten needs a certain theme? (favourite comedy/horror/drama etc)??

Well what you're suggesting is that we do a top ten based on genre. I was thinking more along the lines of stars and maybe directors.
But I guess there's nothing that says we can't do both. ;)

I'm in, although I don't watch a whole lot of movies. I suppose listing 3 movies instead of 10 is ok too?

Of course it's okay to list three movies instead of ten if you don't know ten movies by a particular actor/director etc.

The important thing is that we have fun with this.

Also to kick things off I figured we'd try to do a test run where you all list your top ten most favorite movies of all times.

It might be hard to calculate points from it, but I will try to. Also it will give me an idea of which movies you love. :)

Totals on Friday.

Then the next round we'll probably do an actor or a director or a genre...we'll see...

That's all for now,

Take care,
Love:
Karin

This is really difficult, so I'm kind of just going off the top of my head, I'm sure I'm leaving out many movies I really love. It's also hard to put them in order, but I guess I should just quit moaning and get on with it. So here they are...

1. The Talented Mr. Ripley
2. American Beauty
3. Alien
4. Jaws
5. Take this Waltz
5. Notes on a Scandal
7. Gandhi
8. Pulp fiction
9. Into the Wild
10. Requiem for a Dream

1. The Talented Mr. Ripley

This was in and out of my ten. I've consoled myself with your entry and the knowledge that if we do a "Film Score" top ten, TTMR would definitely make it in.
