I would guess they are on fixed terms contract, either with without break clauses. Their contracts will be paid in full, or they will have come to a natural end or a break clause will allow the BBC to end them early.  It's not a P&O type situation because the decision was announced months before the show ended, way more than the legal 12 weeks that would be required for long term employees.</blockquote>
