From my perspective that's an easy fix, just don't acknowledge the continuation. Is there anything from TNT Dallas we need to revisit/fix? JR is dead but his memory lives on. Cliff and the Barnes family have been relegated to distant memory. One of the few things handled well was Pam's death...something that should have been dealt with in the original series run so there isn't a reason to revisit the character apart from the occasional name popping up in conversation. Characters created for TNT Dallas could be mentioned mid-sentence like Bobby did with Katherine...dead. Other issues like John Ross discovering he has a sister out there could easily be dealt with as a gold-digger or simply not mentioned at all. A Dallas continuation could easily be created using those legacy characters like Bobby and Sue Ellen but the opening killer episode requires one legacy character or characters to be killed off to bring the Ewing family back to Southfork. Personally I'd chose Ray and Jenna. This brings Lucas back into frame which creates the simmering feud required between him, Bobby and John Ross - blood Ewing's. And yes, Christopher is dead in my opinion. All the focus should be on the Ewing family...but for one adversary...Jeremy Wendell. How's William Smithers holding up at 98?
