Is it possible to view threads from the old forums?

I agree we are lucky to still have our discussion forum. Old fashioned or not this is my favorite place to be online!

Yes unfortunately I think so. 
Is there any thread in particular that you are thinking of though?
Some members have posted links to some threads and I've also got a couple of them saved on my harddrive that I've downloaded from online.
But yes as a whole the old forum is gone. 19 years of history just vanished into thin air.
But the good news is that after 2 years since the crash the forum is still here and is still going strong with 1000s of new posts.

Yeah, I was MrsSuperman93 back in the days of the old forum. I'm mainly concerned by the Dallas Writers Room, I posted lots of fan fiction there and didn't have it saved anywhere else (aside from a couple of stories posted on Fanfiction.net). Glad the site's still up and running though!

I remember your screen name and I am sorry to hear that you've lost some of your fanfics. As a writer myself I can understand how frustrating that must be. 
My suggestion is that you post in the writer's room which stories you have lost and ask the other members to PM you if they have any of the stories saved. It's not certain it will work. But I do know that another member, who is still posting fanfics, mentioned how he had lost his stories in a thread and it turned out that some of them had been saved by another member of the community. So he got the stories back and was able to repost them here.
Also I am glad that you are back among us and posting again. Love your new avatar btw.
