The Hollywood actor died on Monday morning surrounded by his family.

I was lucky to see him on Broadway in Driving Miss Daisy with Vanessa Redgrave ? roughly 2010 give or take. Front row of stalls and right under his nose. Id have paid just to hear him read names out of a phone book, that magical rich voice - a wonderful actor -

For someone of my generation who watched the original Star Wars trilogy he'll always be the voice of Darth Vader.


I enjoyed his role in Coming To America too.

Rest In Peace sir.

A very sad day. We lost one of the greatest voices to ever grace our screens. Obviously he will always be synonymous with Star Wars. I’ll never forget hearing his voice at the end of Revenge of the Sith. It was over 20 years since he had voiced Darth Vader at that point and he sounded exactly the same. ‘Til this day that scene gives me goosebumps.

Listened to his famous speech in Field of Dreams this morning. Can’t picture anyone else at that time making that speech with the same power in their delivery.
