Would you like to live on Seaview Circle? Now's your chance, the house that served as the exterior for the home of Laura (and several other characters) is about to go up for sale. Zillow has the house - 16975 Crystalaire Place, Granada Hills, CA 91344 - posted as "expected on market June 5". The post includes 43 photos of the exterior and interior of the house. It appears the house has been remodeled and a sunroom added since it was built in 1973. The living room is not too different from the set used on the show (though the staircase is re-positioned) but very little else looks like Laura's house. The view from the patio isn't half-bad (though there's a major road behind the lot - not the coastline as the show would have us believe). Asking price: $949,000.00

Nice price increase. They used to be around 500K-600K

Got to see the a part of the house and the back yard but would be nice to see the entire thing

Thank you for posting

Thanks for the info. Interesting that the Seaview Circle is situated so far from the coast line. It's not like on the show at all!

So out of curiosity does anyone know where they filmed the beach scenes?

Keep in mind that just because they ask 949k for the property does not mean it will sell for that. In most cases people list homes for way more than they are worth, and end up having to cut their asking price in order to generate interest. Even having a "minor celebrity" type heritage is no guarantee. That can be a double-edged sword in marketing the house, and might even drive some prospective buyers away.

I wonder if they'd give me a discount if I managed to convince them that I used to live there? I mean, if they're aware of the pedigree....:tv:

the pilot and early episodes were filmed in Torrence beach, between redondo and palos verdes.
I think the road where Sid "crashed" was also in that area, a bit more toward Palos verdes.

If I recall correctly at least one of the beach houses (abby / Ben) was in Malibu.

What a pretty house. Even though it's largely changed it does feel so cosy and familiar. Almost like Knots Landing just kept going on only we weren't privy to it. It's so suburban soapy and cosy. I love the pool area and that stair way that leads from the bedroom down to the pool.

I want to buy it and drink wine in the sunken tub while thinking how I can get Abby out of my hair for good!

The Zestimate is 900K so not that far off the asked price (clearly not that accurate either but these are most likely the ballpark numbers)

They mentioned Knots Landing in the description. Clearly most of the population here by now is like "knots what?"

I'm wondering how much did they get paid for featuring the house on the show. Could be a good investment if they decide to reboot ;)
