Madonna Eurovision performance in doubt

Madonna's performance at the Eurovision Song Contest has been thrown into doubt by organisers, who say she has yet to sign a contract for the show.

Speaking on Monday, Eurovision's executive supervisor Jon Ola Sand said: "The European Broadcasting Union has never confirmed Madonna as an act."

He continued: "If we do not have a signed contract she cannot perform on our stage."

The contest takes place in Tel Aviv in Israel on 18 May.

Madonna's appearance was announced by her US and UK publicists in April.

I hate Madonna for 25 years now. I was supposed to see her at her only concert in Frankfurt/Germany there and had the ticket bought months ago for a little fortune.
We were already on the highway with the car and 5 other friends with tickets as well. About 10 minutes before we reached Frankfurt (after a 6 hours drive) we heard in the radio, that Mademoiselle Madonna had a cold and cancelled the concert! Less than 2 hours before it was supposed to start!!!
Then we turned around and traffic was a bitch and we spend another 10 hours on the road for our way home ... all for NOTHING!

That's got to be one of the ultimate downers-- paying good money for tickets to a Madonna concert, only to have her seemingly conveniently get a cold, and subsequently having her cancel the concert, to where you had to turn back and be miserable in the return traffic!
