Missed Susan Sullivan
Linda Evans was only a year younger than Susan, but her character, besides being good, was sexy.
Maggie was rarely dressed sexy and was also made the mother of two children in their twenties. and then we see her with Kevin and Michael
She had the same experience with her character in Rich Man Poor Man, she was also the mother of a young girl.
In this series she played very serious women formal and maternal
But Susan was not like that, she had a lot of character, she was very funny, and very attractive.
In addition, in the year 2000, that is, she was 60 years old, she was still SINGLE AND WITHOUT CHILDREN.
Although she had many male partners, as the press reported and as she herself commented in her memoirs published in Hola
If Maggie had behaved more like Maggie, the character would have gained a lot
Here we see her very flirtatious with Bertin Osborne, a handsome, friendly, rich Spanish singer and count. In the 1990s when Bertin interviewed her

Susan Sullivan is a terrific actress who has done so much good work.
I think she was also in the first season of "It's a Living"
Played a great guest role on "Two and a Half Men"

and so much more!
She was Charton Heston's girlfriend in The Battle of Midway in 1976.
Her scene was cut that can be seen in the extended version
She was amazing in My Best Friend's Wedding of 1997. That's why she got the part in Dharma and Greg
Work on 119 episodes
I love this photo Susan low-cut showing funny legs

One performance of hers that I always felt she never gets enough credit for was in the pilot of The Incredible Hulk TV series. She played her role to perfection and her death at the end of the episode is a very emotional scene.

Susan Sullivan has always been a very natural performer. Imho she doesn't overact. After acting in the wine saga from 1981 - '89; she went onto appear in the short lived THE MONROES in 1995, with Bill Devane from KNOTS LANDING, DHARMA & GREG (1997 - 2002) and of course CASTLE (2009 - '16).

As Maggie Donovan Hartford Gioberti Channing in FC she had her fair share of 'ups and downs' i.e. the Chase & Maggie battle with Angela; wine barrels toppling on her, a brain tumour, a plane crash, finding out she was adopted, meeting her biological mother, being blown up (it was meant for Richard only), falling into Richard's arms, amnesia, being sadly raped, her marriage to Chase disintegrating, the cruel kidnapping of her baby, Chase presumably drowning, having to deal with Nicole, the end of the Gioberti castle, alcoholism and discovering her marriage to Richard isn't a bed of roses.

From left to right: Cole, Chase, Maggie and Vicki

Maggie speaks to Chase’s workers, in the Gioberti winery. The separate business (once a part of FC) has been acquired again by Angela, (a scene from season 7, 1987 – ’88):

Maggie: “I want you to be sure how much Chase appreciated your dedication and your loyalty. I don’t think I have to tell you that I wouldn’t have made it here for 10 minutes, without your help, from all of you. Mrs. Channing has assured me that your jobs here are secure.”

Angela walks in: “That’s right! Of course now you’ll be working for Falcon Crest.”

Maggie: “Right on time.”

Angela: “Well you know what they say time is money.”

Maggie: “Well you got what you wanted Angela. All of it; Chase’s land, his winery.”

Angela: “All I ever wanted was to unite the two Falcon Crest properties together.”

Maggie: “Well you’ve done it! I tell you what I’m going to sleep well tonight because I’m not going to worry about the rain. I’m not going to worry about the frost. Look all I really wanted to say was thank you, all of you and I’m going to miss you! Excuse me.”

Angela looks at the workers: “Now all of you who want to work for me with a substantial raise of course would you please step forward.”

The camera moves to each winery worker but none of them step towards Angela.

Susan Michaela Sullivan was born on November 18, 1942, in , to Helen (nee: Rockett) and Brandan Sullivan, an advertising executive.
The father, a highly paid executive, became an alcoholic.
He lost his job, his family had serious financial difficulties.
And Susan had to work as a Play-Boy bunny
Her childhood and youth were very difficult and her problem with her father marked her deeply.
Here are some candid statements about that time this year
Apparently desperate to see what her father had become, she thought about throwing him down the stairs and killing him.
Sometimes that hardness of Susan passed to Maggie
Also this is the explanation of the history of Maggie's alcoholism that did not fit the character in my opinion
The dismissal she's talking about would be Tylenol, she advertised that product for years -
That's why she talks about 34 years

Susan was in a play off Broadway in the the 2000's and she got rave reviews. She was described as a gem in the acting field. I wish I had seen that play. I always liked her.
In 2003 David and Susan appeared together on stage in a performance of A. R. Gurney's Love Letters at the Apollo Theater in Martinsburg, West Virginia in October
In 2014 Susan Sullivan and David Selby at the Odyssey Theater in Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning play "A Delicate Balance
It also had very good reviews.
The two talked about their years at Falcon Cresy
Reconnecting with somebody who was so important in your life at a sort of seminal time in your development not only as a human being but as an artist, it just adds layer and depth and informs the world of Mr. Albee, which is a dark, interesting, existential place to be, particularly at this point in our lives, since we're both the same age,” Sullivan tells
Selby says about A Delicate Balance. "The one thing that doesn't change is your respect and how much you care, all the trials and tribulations you went through all those years while doing the show."

This photo would have been of Richard and Maggie if the writers hadn't separated them.

This is a note from when Love Letters premiered in 2003
Fans of the long-running CBS drama Falcon Crest delighted at the reunion of two of their favorite stars, Susan Sullivan and David Selby. The pair reunited for a one-night performance of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters at the historic Apollo Theater in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Proceeds from the event are to benefit the restoration of Main Street Martinsburg.
The last time the two actors had appeared together professionally was in 1989, at the funeral of her Ella Falcon Crest character, Maggie Gioberti Channing. Fortunately, Susan looked a little more lively this time around, and the two were in top form.
The sweet, playful chemistry so palpable during their days in the fictional Tuscany Valley was clearly in evidence as they read their Love Letters.
Said Susan on working with her former t.v. husband again, "My God, what can I say? It was like coming home." David readily agreed, stating, "It was wooonderful."
The 1990 Pulitzer nominee chronicles the fifty-year love affair between Andy Ladd and Melissa Gardner through a series of letters. The correspondence begins in second grade and spans summer camp, boarding school, college and beyond. There's flirting, there's sniping. And there's a deep love conveyed in the relationship of the two characters, which is often platonic but occasionally more. The story is both hilarious and bittersweet. And Susan and David, who have remained close since their Falcon Crest days, were convincing as a pair of cozy old friends.
Fans of Crest's Richard and Maggie Channing were no doubt curious about the chemistry of the pair. And they weren't disappointed. The chemistry is still there, according to fans who traveled from near and far.
Darlene of Deland, Florida, endured a layover in Newark and a scary flight on a puddle-jumper. But she insists it was worthwhile. "I was excited to see the two of them together again—they played off each other very well. And I was pleasantly surprised by how funny it was. That was unexpected."
Ilene of Atlanta, Georgia says, "Traveling 1200 miles was well worth it. You wonder if two people who haven't worked together in fourteen years would still have the same chemistry...and they did."
Ilene's husband, Michael, added, "The chemistry was real, and the two of them seemed glad to be together again."
Following the sold-out performance, the stars mingled with fans who'd splurged for reserved tickets at a reception at Martinsburg's Art Center. Susan and David were exceptionally good sports, graciously posing for photos and signing autographs well after midnight.
Kudos to all those who organized the event, as well as culinary arts students from the James Rumsey Technical Institute, who provided the lovely ice sculpture, hors d'oeuvres and fancy truffles.

I enjoyed Susan's performance in Castle. Was she ever in Love Boat?

Like a lot of other stars from the eighties prime time soap era Susan appeared in THE LOVE BOAT. She played Dr. Emily Bradford in a Season 3 episode 'Going My Way/Dance with Me/Doc, Be Patient'.

Maggie and Vicki are waxing the family’s vintage blue convertible, outside the Gioberti castle. Chase has had a meeting with Angela in her Falcon Crest study. Conversation arises between Maggie and Vicki about the movie script, (a scene from season 2, 1982 - '83):

Maggie: “Well! I’ll tell ya, I’m used to a few hundred dollars here and there for a magazine article but this wavers on ridiculous!”

Vicki: “$25,000 for a movie script. Do you think we could hire something to wax the car?”

Chase then appears in the Mercedes estate.

Maggie: “Hi honey!”

Chase: “Hi!”

Maggie: “Is something the matter?”

Chase: “Well! I was just up at Falcon Crest…….”

Vicki: “That explains it!”
