The next season without them and also with April dying early on and Cally running away before the season was over there just weren't that many female characters left at all and it became the JR, Bobby & Cliff show. It didn't work. <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite3" alt=":(" title="Frown    :(" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":(" />Anyway the things I also liked about season 12 were:- Bobby & April's relationship. - The introduction of James and Michelle and them as a couple. - The Oil Tanker Collision between Ewing Oil and Weststar Storyline- Cally's flirtation/friendship with Alex Barton- Cally and John Ross bonding- Lucy & Cally's friendship- Looking for oil in Pride, as it tied into the history of the show.  I didn't like it, but the first time I saw it I thought Clayton's friends getting killed off was really scary!</blockquote>
