New six-page report covering Knots Landing in a German magazine

I wrote a six-page article about "Knots Landing" for the TV Retro Magazine.

The magazine has been available since yesterday.

I really enjoyed writing about it in retrospect. I structured the article into subchapters:

- A quiet beginning with a lot of feeling
- Inspired by Dallas, yet conceived before it
- Abby Cunningham shakes up the neighborhood
- New faces, new depth: Mack, Ciji, and Cathy
- Politics, power, and mafia connections
- A society with backbone and social commitment
- Sexy California
- Guest stars, cult status, and acting talent
- Love until the very end
- Broadcast in Germany
- More relevant today than ever

In addition, I wrote a feature box with "fun facts" about the series and created info boxes about the connections of the actors Don Murray, Ted Shackelford, Joan Van Ark, and Lisa Hartman to Germany.

I conducted short mini-interviews for this. Joan Van Ark's husband, John Marshall, was very helpful in this regard. Likewise, Don Murray's children and the public relations officer of the Bethren Service, through which Don Murray completed his conscientious objection to military service in Germany in the 1950s.

I was thrilled to write an article about Knots Landing for a print magazine.
