Message: <blockquote data-quote="Daniel Avery" data-source="post: 155434" data-attributes="member: 27"><p>Well that is a relief.  I thought it was a bad idea to recast, though to be fair the only thing I ever saw that indicated a plan to recast was a remark NS made in her departure announcement where she asked viewers to 'support her replacement'.  Maybe she thought at that time that they were going to replace her, only to discover later on that they were willing to write Alexis out long enough for NS to take care of her mother, then write her back in when she is ready.  Having her character float in and out of the others' lives is perfectly in character, so it's a logical solution.</p></blockquote><p></p>
