Message: <blockquote data-quote="KayLloyd" data-source="post: 432235" data-attributes="member: 144"><p>Completely agree.  Priscilla's priority as the mother of a 9 year old who just lost her daddy should have been grief counseling for her child, but instead she was more concerned with finding her next boyfriend.  And then when Lisa told her that the boyfriend was abusing her, she didn't believe her and  shipped her off to boarding school because she didn't want to deal with her.  It's no surprise that Lisa went off the rails, she couldn't trust her mother.  And I think that led to Lisa's unhealthy over attachment and dependence on Ben and him just not being able to cope with it.  My sense is that things would have turned out very differently for both Lisa and Ben had Elvis lived into Lisa's adulthood, and that Elvis would have made Lisa his priority had Priscilla been the one who died when Lisa was 9.</p></blockquote><p></p>
