Okay so as for the start of season six... "Buying time" & "Calculated Risks" I found it hilarious how Abby had cut her hair in the limo. Also it seems like Greg Sumner has dyed his hair in the middle of the press conference too! :hl: Abby is kidnapped and Gary is worried about her. Now he wants her back. Karen is very ill. She needs surgery to live. In a way this plot feels a bit like a recycle of what's happened to Sid. But all things considering I can understand why she is reluctant to have the surgery. Diana moves to New York and leaves the show. I guess Cathy and Joshua will replace her and Chip as the young couple this season... Anyway I liked the scene when she said goodbye to Karen and she told her that a part of being a parent was to see her child flew the nest and knowing that she could take care of herself. It was poignant and rang true. It gets bittersweet knowing that Karen could be dying. But instead of being selfish and wanting to spend the last months of her life with her she wants her daughter to start a new life in New York since she knows it's what's best for Diana. Karen and Mack. He loves her and wants to make amends. She pushes him away and lies by saying that she doesn't love him since she wants to spare him the pain of becoming a widower. But she's not thinking of Michael in all this as it would be better for her son to have Mack as his step-dad if Karen were to die... Of course Karen won't die but still... Joshua finally shows up. I like him. He's sweet and oh how young Alec Baldwin was. I remember the first time we saw it we were amazed that someone who was a big movie star was on a soap opera like Knots Landing. I guess by 1997 Alec Baldwin had made it in Hollywood... Anyway Joshua asks Lilimae to tell him about his mom and she says all the nasty things about herself! Then the episodes closes on Greg showing up at the pier to rescue Abby and he ends up shooting Mark Saint Claire! :omg: Somehow I had completely forgotten about that!
