And Meredith Braxton-
I love this scene when Meredith asks Richard for a job.
By the way, what was written in the script was changed,
Meredith and Pamela always struck me as smart and determined.
Terry was not woman to Richard and Maggie was too motherly
By the way, according to the script, Meredith had slept with Richard before Michael's kidnapping. I love his flirtation.

The most interesting partner was Diane Hunter and they both had a similar outlook and objectives so it might have been a partnership that could have survived long term. I'm not sure how much sexual chemistry they had but it could have worked out. So she is my choice.
I voted for Diana too. I thought she was brilliant. But I wouldn't change a thing about her run on the show. She was the perfect FC supporting character just as she was.

Brilliant but if Meredith had been a CIA agent
Meredith was of arms take literally
Diana was just Denaul's spy

Who Diana or Meredith?
We never saw Diana and Richard in bed together, the script was changed
Neither did Richard and Meredith. I guess David didn't like the scene and it was deleted.

I guess it depends on the surplus value of a married Richard Channing. It really worked for Nick and Sheila Hogan, and I loved the plotline in which Lance and Melissa joined forces in order to outfox Angela.
Any "nice girl" for Richard would eventually result in the obvious conflict and therefore the best wife for Richard isn't necessarily the best for us.
Terry simply enjoyed being Mrs. Richard Channing like Sable loved being Mrs. Jason Colby and Sue Ellen could not think of life without being Mrs. JR Ewing.
This is sort of a built-in conflict that doesn't need to be resolved, all it has to do is keeping soaping.

Diana had that ex-porn star elocution (damaged vocal chords from the rigors of the job, as well as the physical look -- much like John Ross and Christopher from nuDALLAS) which suggests that she might possibly be able to act.

But you're never sure.

That's a conflict which also doesn't need to be resolved.

Lizzie played by Lauren Hutton was Jeff Frelich's idea, he was a big fan
Although there was no chemistry between Richard and Lizzie, we can already see it, no vote
Same for Lauren played by Wendy Philips

I wonder if Diana's only scene with Richard in bed was censored? according to the script
FALCON CREST - "The Expose" - 171205 - Rev. 9/16/82 60.
(NEW SCENE) 93 EXT. SAN FRANCISCO HIGH-RISE APARTMENT - NIGHT -RICHARD CHANNING'S APARTMENT - NIGHT - RICHARD AND DIANA are silhouetted in the dark, discreet sounds of lovemaking emanating from the bed upon which they lie. This romantic interlude is suddenly interrupted by the RINGING of a bedside telephone. Richard reaches for the phone:
DIANA
(sultry, sexy) Let the Service pick it up...
RICHARD
I'm expecting this cal
He picks up the receiver, turning away from her in the dark now:

This shot should have had Diana in bed as the background.
[....]Richard nods, taking a glass of milk from two nightstands sipping from it.
Shannon would have a bed scene with Richard.
We see Richard putting on his robe and taking the milk from the Globo Bar cabinet on his nightstand
The scene was censored because it was hot? and David had to shoot new shots and had to use the Glove stage there and them had to use close-ups of her so that it would not be seen that we were in set office globe
According to the German club, the bed was placed on the stage of the globe office to save
1710756935822.jpeg

In 215 we have another scene of Richard's bedroom and we only see the nightstand and the bed

Maybe @TJP can tell us about it

I wonder if Diana's only scene with Richard in bed was censored? according to the script

As far as the scene with Diana and Richard in bed in # 023 <2.05> I don't know for sure how it was filmed, but I'm sure it was not "censored". The scripts were always written in a way that overly sexual scenes were avoided. Lorimar had to stick to that due to CBS' program practices. CBS was very rigid as far as bed scenes were concerned and dictated how the angles should be chosen and where the blanket had to be positioned to avoid too much nudity. CBS got a copy of the script before shooting, and could veto scenes or dialog, etc. Being familiar with their program practices, the scene as written in the revised final draft of the script does not contain anything that could have been regarded as problematic under CBS' guidelines.

I can't tell 100 % about the production process of this scene because we do not have the shooting schedule for this episode, nor do we have this shooting day's call sheet or production report. However, I don’t think the scene with David and Shannon was filmed separately, nor do I think they added the part with David at the bar in a later (re-)take. I think they simply edited the beginning of the scene since they probably felt the information about Emma wasn’t necessary due to other references about her being on the run and Richard’s investigators following her. That is why the scene has an unusual number of close-ups right from the beginning. If they had kept the whole scene, we would have seen Diana and Richard together. It's not unusual to take out parts of scenes because the network dictated the exact screen time per episode, and the dailies and director's cuts usually contained a lot more footage than what was usable in the end just out of necessity to stay in the time frame. I once tried to verify with David that this scene was filmed as described and just shortened, but he didn't remember.

When David later takes the phone and sits down next to Shannon on the bed, you can see the same gray set wall in the background, which is an element of Richard's New Globe office (and was apparently moved over from the other side in exchange for the window element). Behind the lamp on the nightstand, you can also see the frame of the back door, which is in the corner between the "exterior" wall and the bar cabinet — the same back door that later made "Back-door Erickson" famous.

Even though the bed is the same prop as in Richard's later apartment in San Francisco, this place is actually supposed to be a different place — apparently his sleeping quarters in the office building, which is also proven by the generic shot of San Francisco to establish it rather than (as the script originally suggested) a specified highrise. We know from later episodes that Richard does have an apartment in the New Globe building. This scene was definitely filmed on the sound stage with a slight redress of his New Globe office. The actual apartment Richard later had was filmed in a private condo at the Ten Five Sixty Wilshire highrise at 10560 Wilshire Boulevard in Wilshire Corridor. It became available for filming in late October 1982 and was first used for # 031 <2.13> (although not as Richard's apartment in that episode, but as Phillip's); in # 032 <2.14> when it was first used as Richard's apartment, it was also redressed as Lori's apartment, by the way, as we stated in our BTS section. In the scene with Melissa and Richard in bed from # 033 <2.15>, you can see that the wallpaper behind the bed is completely different from the set in # 023 <2.05>.

According to the script the scene is NIGHT -RICHARD CHANNING'S APARTMENT -
When he picks up the phone Diana moves to the back of the scene in the dark and Richard nods, taking a glass of milk from two nightstands sipping from it.
That is to say, the decoration could have been limited to the nightstands, the bed, , the telephone and the lamps. Using the well-known balloon bar cabinet is a mistake
Did they take the beds and nightstands outside???
It could be that everything was shot on the CBS set and then something was cut. And Richard's frames will be shot with the background of the bar cabinet
The end of the scene could not be cut, it ends with Richard saying about Cole, I don't want him arrested, I want him guilty.
If it was cut off when Richard took the milk from the table, he couldn't appear leaving a glass of milk on the nightstand.
He cut Richard's robe and put it on with the bar cabinet, saving himself the need to bring the beds and two nightstands.

The problem is how the actors interpret it.
In scene 2-15 Melissa Richard gives him an affectionate spanking WHICH WAS NOT in the script

And it could be that this happened in that scene.
Hunk Heavy Us, May 9, 1983 By Mark Morrison
Who's the hottest hunk on Falcon Crest? Public opinion may cede the title to Lorenzo Lamas. CBS censors, however, might opt for David Selby, the amiable actor who plays Richard Channing. It's Selby, 39, whose steamy seduction scenes with actress Ana Alicia have created the most heat. In fact, some excessively heavy breathing had to be cut from one scene before the network would allow it to be shown.

"It wasn't so much erotic as it was playful," laughs Selby.
He and Melssa formed a great couple as she commented on this Facebook
December 27, 2015
Being the girl he did lay in bed with, I can say David Selby is one sexy man. (I also know his wife and love her to pieces.) He is such a good actor. I loved working with David. When you save the chemistry for the camera, it pops - and we were smart enough to always do that.
We know from your interviews Lisa Seidman and Jamie Rose were fans of Quentin Collins. And also Ana Alicia
I remember watching repeats of Dark Shadows when I was a little girl. It was such a cult classic and David Selby was brilliant.
It only hits me now that I got to play with Quentin in the disguise of Richard on Falcon Crest. How lucky was I?
If the scriptwriters had added Ana Alcia's character traits, charm, intelligence, determination. She would have been Richard's ideal partner. As David told you.
For DAVID SELBY: Besides SUSAN [SULLIVAN], who else was a great love interest for Richard from your point of view?
Answer (CHIP SELBY on behalf of DAVID SELBY; April 17, 2012):
DAVID says the only real love interest Richard Channing had on the series was Maggie. I have dated ANA-ALICIA's character a little, but the
other older women - KIM, GINA, LESLIE, etc. were all just fun/business

According to the script the scene is NIGHT -RICHARD CHANNING'S APARTMENT -

I know, but you seem to ignore the fact that the later episodes when Richard's actual apartment in San Francicso was introduced were not even written at the time when # 023 <2.04> was written and produced.
In # 023 <2.04>, it is simply not the same apartment, and it was never meant to be. As I explained, we know Richard has always had private rooms in the New Globe building, and the same design of this bedroom (although we know it was out of necessity due to the redress of the office set) proves that these are his private quarters in that building. The decision NOT to establish it as an apartment elsewhere in the city became obvious because they didn't make use of the scriptwriter's suggestion to focus on a specific apartment highrise; they used a generic night shot of San Francisco instead.

Since the lighting, the design and the ambience audio is identical in all parts of the scene, I do not believe in your theory that the close-ups of David at the bar cabinet were shot separately. By the way, it was not a set at CBS; they still filmed at TBS (WB) in season 2.

Despite Pamela unsuccessfully trying to blow Richard off the face of the earth they had some fantastic 'work, rest and play' scenes (season 3 and 4). Terri was undoubtedly a man eater. She was always after the xxl pot of gold, snaring Richard into marriage is a case in point. Of course he had more charisma in his little finger than Dr. Michael Ranson ever could've dreamed about. 'Dick Dastardly' had deep feelings for Maggie, ever since he clapped eyes on her. Terri was always going to be second best. He didn't help her when the earthquake struck and so the stage was set for world class exhibitions of love in 1986 - '87, between Richard and Maggie. Now that all is said and done my vote goes to Pamela.

Another actor Sarah Douglas I've always Sarah Douglas I've always enjoyed and she's always good at playing um strong female characters and sometimes they're evil or whatever betray him is evil but she does such a good job of it what was it like working with her
David

Sarah and I got to have a lot of scenes together um as I recall
But he doesn't comment on Sara. Neither a praise nor a loving memory.
