Amazing television. I'd sort of half-guessed it was going to happen, but at the same time didn't believe it for a second so when it did happen, it was just so incredibly thrilling, like an out of body experience. I'd say free will is a pretty good excuse. Taylforth's a self-employed actor not a slave. Besides, I was under the impression that she said she would have come back to die if she'd been asked, but they just did it all off screen without consulting her. But hey, it all worked out for the best in the end because we got that incredible return. Oh that was really fun. Someone must have realised Sharon's biological father and Kathy's South African husband had the same first name and said, "Hey, what would happen if we made them the same person?" Although Mick was introduced as Shirley's brother, it was always planned that he would turn out to be her son. That was a lie cooked up by Max Branning and the Willmott-Browns as part of their fiendish plot to get revenge on the whole Square. Don't ask me to explain the point of it though. There's a precedent for that. In 1991, Dot deliberately gives Nick enough money for him overdose with. But she inevitably regrets it afterwards. And of course she helped Ethel to die so, you know, it's not entirely alien territory for her. I thought it was a great way for Nick to go. And then Shirley SHOOTS him on the same day! Fantastic stuff! Aww, that was sad. Actually, that was quite sexy. And my God, everything that has happened as a result of it: the absolute carnage! Who could have predicted all that? Brilliant stuff. That was mad! It's all ridiculous really. I mean, everyone's related to each other about three times over. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for all the great memories!
