Message: <blockquote data-quote="Frank Underwood" data-source="post: 119579" data-attributes="member: 35">I think Bill Maher got it right when he said Russia's goal was to create chaos and discord in the election.  If they were only interested in Trump winning, why also release ads supporting Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders?  When you consider that, along with the fact that over half of the ads on Facebook came out after the election, it doesn't sound like a sophisticated plan.  The main takeaway from this should be the need for safeguards to ensure foreign governments can't hack our emails or spread disinformation.  Of course, we should also reform other forms of election meddling that infringe on the integrity of our elections such as the electoral college, gerrymandering, voter ID laws, political parties meddling in their primaries, etc.</blockquote>
