[QUOTE="Daniel Avery, post: 148914, member: 27"] I had forgotten that bit of dialogue. Indeed, Steven claimed he had filed for divorce, but insisted he did not really want a divorce and urged Sam to forget it. I assumed it was an attempt to make the viewer believe Steven had relapsed into drug use and had filed for divorce during one of his benders. Seeing him in what appeared to be the US (I thought New York City, but it could have been any large US city) during that phone call also leads the viewer to think he's not doing what people assumed he was doing, since he's not been where everyone thought he was. I understand the writers wanting to play their cards close to the vest, but they've gone too far (once again) in making her seem so completely inscrutable. Even if they want to keep her true motives and plans secret from the other characters, they need to give the viewer some kind of sign as to whether she's above-board or if she's a gold-digger (or something in between). She's been too non-descript for too long, and people need to know whether she is worth an investment of their loyalties. I understand their reluctance to reveal too much too soon, since it hurt OriginalCristal's lifespan when they spent so much time on her past...but the woman is already engaged to Blake and carrying his (hopefully his) baby.
