Indeed, she was on hand when Blake was beating Mack up (though I doubt she was there when he died). She even spat in Mack's face. She did not urge Blake to hold back, or try to be a voice of reason. Cristal 2.0 had been so positive in her first few scenes of the episode that her family had killed Mark, but then showed up in the basement to spit in Mack's face without any explanation as to why she no longer suspected her family. I still think that the plotline was truncated due to NS's announcement that she was leaving; that a plotline they had designed to last the rest of the season (?) had to be wrapped up within an episode or two so they could focus on NS's exit story. They edited the high points of the story quickly into one episode, when the points might have originally have been expected to happen in several. Some important 'beats' of the story--like when Cristal 2.0 changed her mind about the culprit, when Mack died, and what Anders did when Blake told him Mack was dead--had to be sacrificed in order to wrap the story quicker. This would explain why there was no follow-up on the Jennings death investigation, and why no one came sniffing around wondering what happened to Mack, their friend/husband/whatever. They had to sacrifice Mack quickly, then re-visit his demise after they'd given Alexis her send-off. They could use some of the edited-out scenes (if there are any) as flashbacks next season to back-fill on the plot they had to gloss over in season 2.
