Fallon's board will be voting tomorrow on whether to throw her out of her own company.
Blake is headed off to the plane's supposed crash site, and Cristal is not pleased with his choices. She's even less pleased when a frantic Alexis rushes in and invites herself onto Blake's trip to the mountains. There's no contact with the plane, so they do not know if anyone survived the crash.
Sam is not happy to know that Culhane is selling his portion of La Mirage. He also hopes Liam will do the right thing and cancel the publication of the book that Liam did not write, though Liam is still unsure of what to do.
Florence and Amanda have lunch, where Florence offers Amanda a plum job in London (hoping it will lead up to more?).
Adam is tied up in an undisclosed location. He recognizes Graham as his captor. "What do you want?" Adam asks. Graham reaches for his face and yanks off a latex mask, revealing his true identity. "I want
revenge..." Steven announces.
And yes, this is before they even show the opening titles.
Their explanation: a nurse at the sanitarium had been paid off by Adam to keep Steven medicated. All was well until the sanitarium burned down and the nurse died. His drugs wore off. He recovered, and then found out about the whole sordid tale. The nurse had intercepted all the correspondence the family had sent, and had instead forged letters from him telling them he wanted nothing to do with them any more. Now Steven wants to return the favor and shoot Adam up with some unidentified drugs, too, but gets interrupted by a knock on the door. He reverts to his "Graham voice" and tells the person to go away through the door (so apparently Adam is being held on the manor grounds someplace). Steven's really, really ticked off, if I may say so and it works for him.
Adam and Steven have a big fight after Adam gets free from the chair. Steven has the perfect opportunity to stab Adam with a harpoon (?) but decides not to, even though Adam totally deserves it.
Fallon's strategy to fend off this latest attack on Fallon Unlimited will involve FSN's biggest star, Auntie Dominique. Dom "decides to quit" FSN. Ellen tells Fallon that just makes it easier to justify shutting FSN down entirely, so that scheme didn't work.
Kirby confesses she spied on Amanda at the restaurant and that she's really threatened. Amanda is mad that Kirby doesn't trust her.
Blake and Alexis are with the rescue team, but the weather is bad and the team doesn't want to go out....but Alexis will not be deterred. In the pouring rain, Dex emerges from the underbrush and Blake watches their tearful reunion. I think Blake was actually kind of touched, and more than a little proud of Alexis's determination. Dex is sent to the hospital but will recover.
"Graham" goes to the Sahara Club to talk to Sam. Sam says he's a mess because of all the departures in his life. So Steven rips off the Graham mask again and they have a tearful reunion.
I hope Steven has a really good skin care regimen, because all this face-ripping will take its toll. During the commercial break Steven tells about Adam's role in the whole nightmare. Steven says only that Adam is "gone".
Jeff has a showdown with the Clinexia (?) guy who stole his hard drives, and rather than keep the war going with the guy, he decides to release the data as open-source. Invite tech people to work on it, improve it---and then hire the best techs to work for him and help him build ColbyCo back up.
Just as I imagined, Fallon stumbles upon Steven playing the piano in the manor. Not a dry eye in the house. Words. fail. me. They have a brief duet until Liam storms through with Stacey on his arm---she's going into labor. Liam doesn't even notice Steven (well, his back was turned) as they head out the door. Culhane happens by and offers to drive (like the old days) them to the hospital in the Rolls Royce (because no baby is going to be born in the Aston Martin if Culhane has anything to do with it). Atlanta traffic being what it is, they get stuck in a traffic jam, and in the midst of all their desperation Liam blurts out the secret about the book. Fallon calls a helicopter (I think--it's all happening so quickly) and we see Culhane back at the manor with most of the family, who are waiting for word on the baby. [confused] I think they decided to go back to the manor to have the baby there...? because before you know it, Fallon is coming downstairs with
Lauren Morrell Carrington Ridley in her arms. She then signals Steven to reveal himself as well, which causes Alexis to practically leap across the room to embrace him as everyone is thrilled. Kirby and Amanda have an uncomfortable moment when they each refer to him as "her brother".
Kirby tells Amanda she ought to take the London job, because she doesn't want to be the one who stops Amanda from going after what she wants. Fallon gets Blake to back her financially to take FU private, and yes, Ellen is FIRED once the offer (2X the value of the stock) is accepted by the board. So now Fallon is the sole owner of Fallon Unlimited rather than having a board raining on her parade.
Blake returns and Cristal is relieved. Seeing Alexis and Dex made him realize how much he cares for Cristal, and they seem to be happier and stronger than ever.
Six-month Time Jump: Fallon has decided to fold her company into the family's holdings and decides to rename the company Carrington United. Liam has decided to re-publish the book with the proper author's name, and to write a series of children's books. Jeff is planning to shift his operations to Nigeria. Alexis is opening an Alexam store in Manhattan right next to the spot Dominique has leased to open a fashion boutique, so I'm sure that will go well.
Culhane and Nina are getting married, and we see all the various family members interacting/bickering. Sam acts as officiant. Amanda has even returned from London for the occasion, and Kirby decides she's going to move to London to be with her.
Speaking of which, we see
Adam in London, wearing a lab coat and talking (with an English accent) about his patients with an assistant. But he's actually a veterinarian!
The camera pans across all the cast members at the wedding....and all seems well. They pose for a family photo in the final shot.
Aw, shucks.....
PS: Part of me feared that the Culhane/Nina wedding would be our Moldavia, with a gun-toting Adam barging in and spraying the cast with bullets. Thank goodness that did not happen!
I guess after what they did to Alexis in season 2 (giving her Fallon's face), it's ok.
