[/Spoiler]To Entertainment Weekly this month, Alex Kurtzman said of Lorca: [Spoiler] “I will tell you that you should not expect to see him this season, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be back.”[/Spoiler]I speculate we [Spoiler] certainly won’t see Lorca, but will be lead to think/know this season that a Lorca is around/exists. I haven’t given up on Mirror Lorca being alive, as we never saw him actually die, only saw him in events that should have killed him. To borrow one of the taglines from The OA, “trust the unknown”. I believe Jason Isaacs will be back: I think it’s ML who returns, possibly under the guise of Prime Lorca, say in S3 if not towards the end/ at the end of S2. He might even have scenes on board Discovery, with or without Pike (who surely has to return to the Enterprise at some point). Also, the Mirror story of Lorca (and about Burnam being his weakness and downfall) may not have all been as the Emperor claimed. I think Burnam was too quick to trust the Emperor’s version of things, and the Emperor seized the opportunity to drive a wedge between Burnam and Lorca.[/Spoiler]</blockquote>
