[QUOTE="Ray&Donna, post: 48815, member: 42"] Short update now because there are only two left! :eck: *** The next morning, Ray couldn’t take his eyes off of Donna. They lay together in bed, the sun streaking through the curtains, its rays dancing across the room. A new day was dawning over the ranch, and over their lives. Just as they had moved as one the night before, they would now move together into the next phase of their lives. He kissed her eyes, knowing that she must be dreaming about the future, about the life they were building together. Each day would be different than the one before, would bring with it a new set of challenges, but he knew this time they would be ready for anything. She stirred and as her eyes opened they found his. “Good morning, Mr. Krebbs.” He smiled. “I love watching you sleep.” She placed her arms around his neck. “We should do something together today—would you take the day off for me?” He laughed. “For you, I might take off every day from now on.” She brought her mouth to his as he softly smoothed his hand over the length of her body. She stared back at him as the kiss broke off. “There aren’t any guarantees in life—you and I both know that. But I wanna make it work with you more than anything.” A tear glistened in his eye. “I prayed. I prayed to God that we would work it out and you'd come back to me.” She smiled. “I prayed for the same thing. That I would have the strength to be a good mother and that you and I would find each other again.” They kissed again and he held her close as they lay there, the day seemingly made just for them.
