Police Sergeant Cyril Turpin tries to kill Betty's evil, knife-wielding stalker, Keith Lucas!

So, it looks like barmaids had stalkers way back too... Ena misplacing her hairnet was the least of the Street's worries!

JULY/AUGUST 1973...

Petty criminal, Norman Leach, stalks barmaid, Bet Lynch, amd beats her up in a back alley... She is later found blooded and bruised by Stan Ogden on the way home from the Rovers.

Alf Roberts is called in by the police to give a statement, having been previously blackmailed by the attacker, following an incident where Alf reversed his car and accidentally hit Norman's elderly mother.
