Message: <blockquote data-quote="emm1978" data-source="post: 231859" data-attributes="member: 128">I remember people saying that when Clive Hornby died (Jack Sugden) the show should have ended because it was so different from when it first started.What soap is the same though now as when it first started?  I'm sure Clive wouldn't have wanted a show he spent 28 consecutive years of his life in to come to an end, and the fact that he was in the show up until a few months before he died in 2008 shows that he accepted the fact that the show moved on to reflect life in a Yorkshire village in the 21st Century.Now, of course, the show is tackling the real world problems associated with the pandemic, and quite rightly too.</blockquote>
