It's the same here.  I remember liking the first two seasons very much and I think they're hard to beat. After that, for some reason, I feel I remember the fifth as one of the more solid one. It could have been mainly on the basis of the arcs with Regina and Richard, etc, but something about it excited me.Oh yes, You'll be in a similar position to me of watching it very close to the actual series finale.
